Surgery Center, Inc., the first licensed outpatient surgery facility in Louisiana, opened its doors in January 1976. It was established to provide an alternative to conventional hospitalization for outpatient surgical procedures.

The well being of the patient is our first concern. Our goal is to alleviate some of the emotional stress experienced by patients undergoing surgery, while adhering to the quality of care standards necessary for rendering professional health care services. With this goal in mind, Surgery Center was designed to eliminate, as much as possible, a typical hospital environment, and our staff attempts to create a relaxed, but professional, atmosphere.
